Hey there, welcome back to my channel! In this week's vlog, I'm taking you on a journey through a fantastic week I spent living my best life right here in the vibrant city of Miami. 🌴☀️ My parents were in town, and it was so heartwarming to have them around. They were kind enough to lend a helping hand around the house, making everything so much easier. From those little home improvement projects to beach days, we struck a perfect balance between getting things done and soaking up the good vibes.

But the beach wasn't the only highlight! I saw the Barbie movie with some friends on Lincoln Road – and let me tell you, it's a solid 10/10. It's an absolute must-watch. The meaning behind the story really resonated with me (as it has with so many women) and I think it really deserves all the awards next season. I stopped by Lagniappe House. Best known for its weekly live music, huge backyard, and enormous cheese, meat, and wine selection; which you can use to make your own charcuterie board. Speaking of live music, I stumbled upon a new gem in the city – ZeyZey.

This recently opened venue had us dancing and swaying to some incredible beats. At night The Bungalow opens at 11pm where DJs spin in the center of the room while everyone dances around them. Miami's music scene never ceases to amaze me! As the week drew to a close, we embarked on an unforgettable journey through Miami's Millionaire Row on a famous houseboat tour. The city's stunning skyline and luxurious waterfront homes left us in awe, and sharing this experience with my parents, aunt, and uncle made it all the more special. So, if you're craving a glimpse into life in the Magic City, look no further – this week's vlog has got it all. When I style an outfit, I look for the three “Cs”: color, comfort, and cool accessories.

Even though at times, I so want to be a neutral and clean-aesthetic girly, I believe that color sets the tone for any outfit, and I'm drawn to vibrant hues that reflect my personality and mood.

Comfort is primary; I prioritize pieces that not only look great but also feel fantastic to wear, ensuring I can feel confident and comfortable, especially in the Miami heat.

Accessories are the cherry on top of any outfit and my favorite pieces to put together. I love to incorporate unique elements that make my outfit pop. Recently, I put together a chic look featuring a green checkered knit set I found on Amazon. The earthy green tones resonated with my style, and the cozy knit fabric provided unbeatable comfort.

To elevate the outfit, I added a pair of stylish sunglasses from Celine, purchased at Nordstrom Rack, to shield my eyes from the sun in style. To complete the look, I carried a Gucci tote from cettire.com, for an unbeatable price, and added a touch of luxury and flair to the overall ensemble. Pro-tip, this tote is actually Gucci Kids and half the price of the adult collection.

This combination perfectly encapsulated my style ethos of blending color, comfort, and eye-catching accessories, with the Miami landscape as my background - how much better can it get?

I </3 my body….

I love my body. 

That’s right I said it...

but it hasn’t always been that way. 

It’s taken me awhile to build up the courage to post this. Up until recently I’ve avoided showing the left side of my body or my left leg at all costs, to the point of premeditating every move and every angle to make sure I wouldn’t be put in a “vulnerable”position. I cried when I realized I couldn’t wear heels to formal occasions, and finding comfortable shoes is still a nightmare. I would avoid wearing shorts or skirts and even would wrap my leg in the hot summer to cover my scars because I didn’t want to bring any attention to what I knew would cause stares or questions. When you grow up being “different” all you want is to fit in. 

I realize now that I was really only trying to protect my vulnerability because of my own insecurities. It really hasn’t been about anyone else, but looking into myself. I’ve realized how brilliant and amazing our bodies are. 

Now, I have a sense of gratitude for my body, that I’ve pushed so hard and has always shown strength and resilience. I am grateful and fascinated that it intuitively beats my heart, and fills my lungs with air; defends me from illness and heals every cell without ever asking. I will never take my body for granted - as it is in its current form and all it will go through for the rest of my life. This body has had to learn to walk over 8 times. This body keeps me alive; and this body will hopefully one day (god willing) grow my babies, and give new life. It’s just incredible.

Today, face and body tuning filters are all the rage, and have morphed everyone into looking exactly the same. Big lips, thin noses, high cheek bones, arched eyebrows, tiny waist, big bust and a KK ass. I’m down for a pre-set (@tezzaapp is my fave), but imagine if I airbrushed these scars off my leg in every photo? How inauthentic it would be? How much history and character that would erase from what makes me, me? 

Airbrushing our bodies to be perfect not only mentally affects the way we perceive ourselves and shape our insecurities but it truly takes away from what makes us unique. There is no one like you out there and the world needs diversity. The world needs you, exactly as you are. If you’re offended by someone’s looks, disabilities, scars or sexual identity - I’m offended by you. 

So a lesson to every kid: Different is beautiful. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel bad about what makes you unique, or having scars. Your scars prove that you’re stronger than what tried to hurt you; and never take your body for granted because as of yet, you are reading this, alive and well, and it has never let you down. Celebrate it.

My visit to One Vanderbilt, Summit in the heart of New York City was nothing short of spectacular. As I stepped into this architectural marvel, I was immediately struck by its awe-inspiring design and the sense of grandeur that enveloped me. The panoramic views of the city's iconic skyline from the Summit's vantage point were simply breathtaking. The attention to detail in every aspect of the Summit experience, from its luxurious interiors to its world-class amenities, was evident. It's not just a building; it's a testament to the city's spirit and ambition. Exploring the observation deck, I marveled at the city's ever-evolving landscape and felt a deep appreciation for the Big Apple's rich history and bright future. One Vanderbilt, Summit is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to witness the essence of New York City from new heights, both figuratively and literally.

In pursuit of releasing my anxiety, I planned the ultimate day of self-indulgence and luxury, I carefully curated an unforgettable experience filled with delightful activities and treats, making it truly the best day ever.

The morning began with a pampering session at the nail salon for a new nail art/design. I chose a chic and classic French manicure with a chrome tip for my nails, you should try it! Next, I stepped into a tranquil spa for a rejuvenating massage, where skilled hands eased away the tensions of everyday life, leaving me feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Before heading home, I stopped at Trader Joe's for some essentials and treats and walk you through my haul. What's the best day ever without a bouquet of fresh flowers?! Trader Joe's always has the best assortment of flowers at the absolute best prices!

The midday sun was calling, and I couldn't resist lounging by the pool. The excitement peaked as I received a highly-anticipated delivery from Fashionphile. Unboxing a stunning Louis Vuitton Pavillon 30 - that I traded in for no cost.

To conclude this extraordinary day, I decided to make a stop at the beach because it's Miami and the beach is why I moved here.

It was a day that celebrated self-care, luxury, and the simple pleasures in life – reminded me that life is meant to be fun and feel good :)
